The Struggling Artist

I finally understand the temperament of artists! It is very difficult to be focused and quit daydreaming when you have so many creative and spatial ideas jetting around in your mind!

The oldest two kiddos are at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a couple of days, and I'm finally devoting a little creative energy toward some of the decorating and projects I've been wanting to work on for awhile. Camryn and I did a little shopping for some accessories today for Abi's new bathroom, to hang these beautiful pictures I have from Julie and Shannon, and for our front porch fall decorations. We also made a stop by Sherry's house this morning to see this beautiful picture rod she made -- love it and will probably have to copy it! :o) Camryn and I made a little progress shopping today, but most things are still in the idea stage.
I have so many things floating around in my head, I feel totally distracted and could have just wandered in Hobby Lobby for hours if Camryn's hungry cries hadn't jolted me back to reality. She's such a trooper when shopping!

I wish creativity and getting things out of my head and into the real world weren't so difficult for me! I love the feeling of being lost in creative thought, but I just wish more could come from it!

Isn't creativity fun! I enjoyed our visit. I hope I didn't overwhelm you. After you left, I was like, "How did I manage to cover so much ground with someone I've just met (so to speak)?" Can't wait to see your creations!

I SO understand the overwhelming part! I can think of things I want to do, but actually getting them out of my head and done just KILLS me!! I wish I had that creative decorating mind that some people have!

I completely understand! I have a notebook that I write my ideas down in. That way, when I have time, which is like NEVER, I can try to accomplish them and I don't forget what it is I was wanting to do. :)
